Life Skills to equip residents for life
Achievements of our residents
Resident R came to us straight from prison. Poor choices had been his families legacies. He decided that something had to change. Today 'R' is managing a retail store, married and actively reaching out to inspire and help those in tough times.
Resident 'J' came to Australia as a legal refugee fleeing a worn torn country. He brought two very young siblings with him. Unable to speak English they were vulnerable and overwhelmed. Today 'J' is a qualified nurse and regularly feeds the homeless in Western Sydney. One younger sibling has also graduated as a nurse and the youngest is a prefect at a Sydney select school. The youngest sibling has pioneered an outreach to young people struggling with mental illness.
Two of our residents are in the process if completing tertiary education. The first in their whole generational line to attempt higher education. These residents also reach out to teens trying to find their path.
A family came into care due to the real prospect of being homeless due to a string of unforeseen life challenges. Today they are thriving, and becoming financially independent and strong.
